John Petreanu Named President of MRPC, PDC and Injectech
Leadership appointment supports the next phase of growth for the recently unified medical device and life sciences manufacturing organization.
October 1, 2026 — Following last week’s announcement that MRPC, Plastic Design Company (PDC) and Injectech are operating as one organization serving the medical device, life science and bioprocessing markets, the company has appointed John Petreanu as President.
Petreanu brings more than 20 years of leadership across medical device businesses including both original equipment and contract development and manufacturing organizations serving regulated medical device, life-sciences and aerospace markets. His background includes senior operations & strategy roles at Cardinal Health and CareFusion, multi-site operations at Integer Holdings and Viant Medical, and served as President of Scapa Healthcare, a global CDMO. Most recently he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Plymouth Tube Company, a multi-site manufacturer of specialty alloy tubing and titanium extrusions serving aerospace, defense, medical device and life-sciences markets. He holds a BS and MS in Materials Engineering from University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana and an MBA from University of Dayton.
As MRPC, PDC and Injectech continue building a more connected manufacturing organization, Petreanu’s experience leading complex, multi-site businesses through periods of growth, integration and operational transformation will support the company’s next phase of development. His background spans many of the same challenges and opportunities facing the organization as it expands capabilities, aligns resources across locations and pursues long-term growth.
“John’s addition is an investment in our future and another important step in building the organization we are creating,” said Greg Riemer, Chief Executive Officer. “He brings extensive experience leading medical manufacturing businesses and helping organizations scale successfully. Most importantly, he adds leadership capacity that will help us execute faster, strengthen our capabilities and pursue our growth objectives more aggressively while continuing to invest in our people, customers and technologies.”
As President, Petreanu will work closely with leadership teams across the organization to support strategic initiatives, operational excellence, commercial growth and continued capability development. He will help guide the next phase of the company’s evolution as it expands its ability to serve customers requiring specialized manufacturing expertise, broader technical capabilities and greater production scale.
“MRPC, PDC and Injectech have built strong reputations by solving complex manufacturing challenges and supporting customers in demanding markets,” said Petreanu. “Bringing those strengths together creates a compelling platform for future growth. I’m excited to work with the team as we continue investing in our capabilities, supporting our customers and building an organization positioned for long-term success.”
A unified company name and brand identity is expected to be introduced in early 2027. Until then, the organization will continue operating under the MRPC, PDC and Injectech brands.
