From 100 to 105: Five Years of Growth, Innovation, and Scaling for the Future

MRPC Celebrates 105 Years In Business

MRPC, a fully integrated contract manufacturer specializing in medical device manufacturing of medical devices and medical components, is celebrating 105 years of manufacturing excellence. Throughout its history, the company has continually evolved to meet the changing needs of the medical device industry. Over the past five years, MRPC has further strengthened its position as a technology-driven, full-lifecycle manufacturing partner, helping customers scale production, improve manufacturability, and accelerate time-to-market.

When MRPC celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2021, the company reflected on a century of manufacturing excellence. Since then, the increasing complexity of medical devices has reinforced the importance of early engineering collaboration, scalable manufacturing solutions, and advanced automation. Guided by those evolving customer needs, MRPC has continued to invest across its three U.S. facilities, strengthening its ability to support increasingly complex medical device programs from concept through commercialization.

Reaching 105 years is certainly something to celebrate, but what makes me most proud is how we’ve continued to evolve without losing sight of who we are,” said Greg Riemer, President and CEO of MRPC. “Our people are what make MRPC unique. They thrive on solving complex manufacturing challenges and developing innovative solutions for customers—especially on programs that demand a high level of engineering expertise. We’ve always been an engineering-first company, and that mindset continues to drive every investment we make. Whether it’s automation, new manufacturing technologies, or expanding our facilities, our goal is always the same: helping our customers succeed and exceeding their expectations.”

Meeting the Evolving Needs of Medical Device Manufacturing

As medical devices continue to become more sophisticated, so do the manufacturing challenges behind them. Recognizing this shift, MRPC has made strategic investments that position the company to support customers throughout the entire product lifecycle—from Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and early engineering collaboration through automation, process validation, production, and long-term manufacturing scale-up.

Engineering, Automation, and Capacity Investments

Over the past five years, MRPC has made strategic investments across all three of its U.S. facilities. These include expanding cleanroom capacity at its Butler, Wisconsin headquarters, transitioning cleanroom manufacturing to ISO 7 in support of new customer programs, completing facility upgrades at its Northeast Division in Hudson, New Hampshire, expanding manufacturing capacity at its Southeast Division in Largo, Florida, and continuing to invest in advanced automation technologies designed to improve quality, consistency, and production efficiency.

These investments reflect MRPC’s engineering-first approach to medical device manufacturing. By engaging customers early through Design for Manufacturability (DFM), investing in advanced automation, and expanding manufacturing capacity across its three facilities, MRPC continues to help customers reduce risk, accelerate time-to-market, and scale production with confidence. Rather than simply increasing capacity, MRPC has invested in the engineering expertise, manufacturing technologies, and infrastructure needed to grow alongside its customers as their programs evolve—from early development through commercialization and long-term production.

MRPC’s continued investment in quality and operational excellence is also reflected in its achievement of MedAccred® Injection Molding Accreditation, reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality manufacturing solutions for the medical device industry.

Helping Customers Scale for the Future

As MRPC looks ahead, the company remains committed to investing in its people, engineering expertise, manufacturing technologies, and facilities to meet the evolving needs of the medical device industry. While the company proudly celebrates 105 years of manufacturing excellence, its focus remains firmly on the future—continuing to invest in the people, technologies, and partnerships that help customers successfully bring the next generation of medical devices to market.
