Scaling With Our Customers: Key MD&M West Theme

The MRPC team headed to California in February to attend the MD&M West Show, February 4-6, 2025, in Anaheim, CA. The show was well attended and gave us the opportunity to meet with customers to discuss current and upcoming medical device program needs.

MRPC at the 2025 MD&M West Show The key theme from our numerous discussions was growth taking place on the side of our customers and MRPC’s ability to expand to meet their growing needs. The recent cleanroom expansion in Butler is a great demonstration of how we are well-poised to grow with our customers. Not only did we add an additional 800 sq ft of cleanroom manufacturing space during this expansion project, but we also added new molding and automation machines. This was an intentional expansion that added cleanroom capacity for customers that are on a growth trajectory.

In addition to resourcing from a cleanroom perspective, customers were eager to discuss core capabilities that they may not be utilizing quite yet. Many of our existing silicone molding customers were interested in discussing our thermoplastics molding capabilities. Additionally, we were able to discuss our finished medical device assembly capabilities and how device assembly, packaging, sterilization management and other capabilities offer our customers the ability to reduce the time to market, simplify the supply chain and gain more control over their program.

Implementing automation is also a key opportunity to support our customers as they grow. Over the last several years, we’ve added numerous automation machines that perform monotonous tasks, enabling our team to perform more value-added work.

This topic of customer growth is a great discussion, and it is one that we are happy to have, because we are poised for their growth. We’ve put the infrastructure in place to support our customers and believe in the importance of investing in, and scaling with them.

The MD&M West Show was a fantastic opportunity for kicking off these growth and resourcing conversations, and we’re looking forward to continuing them.
